Energi
エナジ
There are 6 energi elementals, all of which are weak to their opposing elemental. They are the the following:

Water>Fire>Wind>Earth>... and Light<->Dark

Energi skills have the ability to deal the same level of damage regardless of whether the enemy is in the vanguard or rearguard position. As a character's energi level increases through the accumulation of SP received at the end of battle, they will gain bonuses particular to their elemental, or support elemental if a ring is equipped. Also, special energi skills can be learned when a ring is equipped and two elementals reach the required level for a particular skill. For example, when both wind and light elementals reach level 20, magic that can heal all characters simultaneously is learned. This is but one of many combination magic types that exist in Alphadia.

Battle
The various facial icons across the top of the screen during battle indicate the battle order. These icons move from right to left in a determined sequence and the one in the leftmost position indicates which character's turn it currently is. Each character's agility determines when their turn to attack will occur in the battle order. When a battle ends, all party members not present during the battle will receive 70% of the normal experience points [EXP]. However, they will not receive any skill points [SP]. Also, whether a certain character participates in battle or not can be quickly decided using the "Formation" option found within the main menu.

■HP (Hit Points) If this number becomes 0, a character is swoon.
■EP(Energi Points) These decrease when energi skills are used.
■STR(Strength) This indicates how much physical damage a character can deal to an enemy.
■VIT(Vitality) This indicates how much damage protection a character can receive.
■MND(Mind) This indicates how much energi damage a character can deal to an enemy.
■AGL(Agility) This indicates when a character's turn will come in the battle order.
■ATK(Attack Power) This is calculated using the numbers associated with a character's strength and their equipped weapon.
■DEF(Defense Power) This is calculated using the numbers associated with a character's vitality and their equipped armor.
