BoC adopts a 3x3 quarter-view command input battle system.
The ESP you accumulate every time you perform an action can be used to unleash incredibly powerful Clan Specials.
Use your Clan Specials and Kiho to stomp out every enemy that stands in your way!
BCP can also be used to revive yourself and continue fighting if you happen to be annihilated in battle.

Mandara can be placed under characters to provide them with a number of different benefits.
Performing certain actions while on top of them can boost the effectiveness of those actions.
Because Mandara only impact the characters standing on them, you'll need to experiment with multiple Mandara to figure out what combinations work best.
There are also two formations available for you to mix and match against the strengths of your characters/party.

Listen to people in need of help and take on the "quests" they offer you.
If you forget the details of any quests you accept,
you can review the conditions for their completion at any time on the inventory of the menu.
Completing quests will help you obtain items that will aid you in your adventure.
There is also a list available that will allow you to see detailed information on all of the yokai you've encountered.
