Prologue

Long, long ago, the world was comprised of the heavens, the surface lands, and the earth-depths.
Humans, elves and dwarves inhabited the surface lands, while in the heavens and the earth-depths, the evil spirits of the heavens and of the earth-depths had their abodes.
In the course of time, the evil spirits of the heavens and of the earth-depths, both wishing to increase their territories, began the march to war.
The surface lands became the stage for a ferocious battle, with the humans, the elves and the dwarves all suffering enormous damages. Coming together to share their wisdom and their forces in order to save the surface lands, they created golems, and powerful weapons able to resist the strength of the evil spirits of the heavens and the earth-depths.
Thus a decisive victory over the evil spirits was won, and peace returned to the surface lands. It was said that the golems and the other weapons were lost in the fierce battle with the evil spirits.
Many ages have passed since those days. Now, our story begins with a young man searching for one of those legendary weapons of old…
