Edea, energy that flows through the land like a river, giving life to all living things. Edea was first discovered by the Empire of Dernia, and the people of the Empire were successful in using Edea as energy for everyday life. Taking advantage of highly-developed Edea technologies, the Empire of Dernia came to rule the whole world.
However, at the peak of its prosperity, the Empire was overthrown and destroyed by revolutionaries, who were opposed to the overuse of Edea, the energy of the Earth… 150 years later… Huge advances in Doll-related technologies are starting to be seen. Dolls are figures into which Edea is implanted, allowing the Dolls to move, following humans' orders.
At the same time, though, a number of unexplained incidents have occurred across the world. In these 'Edea Banishes', the Edea of all life in a certain area suddenly completely disappears. Naturay, the location of the first of the Edea Banishes. Jink, who was born and brought up in Naturay, lost his family in the disaster.
Some seven years after being forced to leave his homeland… In the Commune of Bista, where there are many hunters, Jink makes his living using Golems, battle weapons that work using Edea, to hunt down Bounty Targets, and is attempting to track down the truth about the Edea Banishes. One day, he meets Nao, a young woman who says she is researching Edea. Nao insists that she knows who is responsible for causing the Edea Banishes.
With this, Jink finds himself caught up in a series of events which threaten to engulf the whole world…
