プロローグ


―Revenant Saga―They appeared suddenly in the world― evil fiends bearing the distorted figures of humans... While few in number at first, their strength exceeded that of men, and even when killed, they would rise from the dead only to continue in their course― an endless path of destruction strewn with the carnage of their victims.
Devoid of emotion and driven only by their thirst for blood, they were called "Revenants"― immortal bringers of death and destruction. By and by, fear had seized the hearts of the people, and with a mysterious plague spreading like wildfire throughout the land, it seemed as if the end was not far off.
Nevertheless, relying on their faith and the branch, they besought deliverance by the hand of the Almighty, hoping and praying for a miracle... But alas, their pleas go unfulfilled as Revenant strength and numbers continued to grow. And as the light of hope began to fade from the world, the darkness of despair only became that much darker...
