Ash
Ash A young man living in the town of Heiland in a frontier nation. He is the brother of Karim and Eclair. While on town patrol, he comes across Shion and others who are being pursued and injured. He has a straightforward personality.
Shion
Shion A mysterious woman who was being pursued by soldiers along with Wied. Her background is unknown, but she exudes an air of nobility. She is on her way to the resistance and ends up traveling with Ash and the others.
Karim
Karim Ash's brother who is supportive and understanding. During their journey, he encounters an unexpected reunion.
Eclair
Eclair Ash's sister, with a cheerful and lively personality. She serves as the icebreaker, illuminating their often gloomy journey. Some of her suggestions are unexpectedly discovered to be valuable in the distant future.
Wied
Wied A knight who was traveling with Shion. He is always concerned about her well-being but maintains a reserved attitude towards others. His relationship with Ash is not ideal, but it is complicated due to certain circumstances.
Energi 1417
Energi 1417 A test subject who escaped from Vanessa's research lab. While not particularly fond of people, for some reason, she is attached to Ash. Referred to as 'Enah' by Ash and the others, she gains a wealth of experience during their journey.
Denim
Denim The father of Karim, Ash, and Eclair. He has a strict personality but is reliable and beloved by the townspeople. While he initially resented Shion and Wied for the sake of the town, he eventually makes the decision to confront the Schwarzschild Army to help Ash and the others escape.
Tessarossa
Tessarossa A suspicious merchant encountered in the town of Heim. He owns a ship and offers to guide Ash and the others to the resistance's location in exchange for a favor.
